product care
All my ceramics are made using high-fired stoneware and glazed with durable, food-safe glazes. The dishwasher can be a harsh environment for handmade pottery and it is therefore recommended to wash by hand in order to maintain the quality of your pieces. Regular dishwasher use can shorten the lifespan of your pieces by making cracks and chips more likely (particularly pieces that have large unglazed surfaces, i.e. plates). In saying all that, I have always put all my handmade ceramics through the dishwasher and have encountered very few problems with doing so. Oven and microwave use should be avoided as this can lead to thermal shock.
Prolonged contact of oils and high-staining foods on the unglazed areas of your ceramics (underneath side and sometimes exterior) can cause stains.
Some matte glazes may be prone to cutlery marks. These can be removed with vinegar and a non-abrasive scrubbing sponge.
Shipping
I ship both within Switzerland and around the world and aim to have your orders packaged and shipped within 3-5 business days. If you are ordering from outside of Switzerland, you may be charged custom duties / handling fees on your end. All items are shipped with Swiss Post and you will receive an email once your item is shipped with the tracking code which you can enter here to find the status of your shipment. Items within Switzerland are sent with the ‘Fragile’ added service with Swiss Post, which costs CHF 7.- extra and means if your item is damaged during the shipment, Swiss Post accepts liability for the damage. If this occurs, you will need to report the damage within 8 days to your local Swiss Post branch (unfortunately it can only be reported from your end). More information can be found on the Swiss Post website here.
pick-up in zürich
If you would like to pick-up your purchase in person, this option will be available to you at check-out.
refunds
My hope is that you will be overjoyed with your purchase. I endeavour to only share photos that I deem to be as true to real life as possible. As all products are entirely handmade, you can expect slight variations between each piece and between collections in terms of form, colour and size. Please take note of item measurements, as it is difficult to estimate size from a photo.
In case you would like to return your item, you are eligible for a refund if your item is returned within 14 days. Please contact me first via hello@annalouiseceramics.com with the reason for the return, and the refund will be processed once the undamaged and unused item has returned to me. I therefore advise to send it securely packaged and with the Fragile added service (if within Switzerland). I am unfortunately unable to refund shipping costs for either direction.
Course cancellation policy
Your booking includes a non-refundable deposit of 25%. Cancellation cost from 1 to 3 weeks before the beginning of the course: 50% of course cost. Cancellation cost within 1 week of the course: 100% of course cost, unless you are able to provide a replacement person for the course (then no cancellation costs will be charged). If less than 3 participants are signed up for the course, either a 100% refund will be provided or if preferred, you may move your booking to another course date.
Commissions
